Our Staff

Pastor

Beginning July 1, 2017, Pastor Shari McCourt was appointed by Bishop La Trelle Easterling to serve St. Paul along with Westminster United Methodist Church. Pastor Shari earned a Master of Divinity degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in 2004 and was ordained as an Elder in 2013. She has served as pastor of Union UMC in Baldwin, Fairview UMC in Jacksonville, Milford Mill UMC in Pikesville, and Stone Chapel UMC in New Windsor. She had the privilege of serving as Chaplain at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Pastor Shari has a passion for building relationships through listening to people’s sacred stories, pastoral care, serving the sacraments, missional outreach, and teaching.

Pastor Shari and her husband, Pat have three children: Nick, married to Izzy, Paul, and Theresa, married to Ben. They have one grandbaby, Ester. They also have four other members of their family; their four cats, Phoebe, Chloe, Sophie, and the man kitty, Luke.

Pastor Shari is so excited to be a part of the ministries here at St. Paul! It is her hope and prayer that we will be one family in Christ our Lord. If you have not been in worship in a while, come home! Come home, and be with your faith family. She is looking forward to getting to know you just as you are.

Administrative Assistant

Kenna Haj joined our staff in May 2017 as the Administrative Assistant.  Born in Morgantown, West Virginia, she is a life-long United Methodist and is an active member of Westminster United Methodist Church, where she recently served as Lay Leader.

Kenna is the mother of two daughters, Rachel and Meghan, and a grandmother to Connor.  They have resided in Westminster since 1991.

In her spare time, Kenna enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, making handmade cards and scrapbooking.  She has recently become interested in genealogy, researching her family roots to become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Thankful for the warm welcome and friendly church members, she enjoys working in the church office and serving the congregation of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
