St. Paul UMC has entered into a pilot project with the Maryland Citizens’ Health Initiative Education Fund, Inc. and LifeBridge Health to give our members better oversight and communication between hospital and pastor in times of hospitalization.

Join the Maryland Faith Community Health Network
With your permission, your faith leader will know right away when you need prayers
and support. We will honor your privacy and keep your information confidential.
Your caregiver(s) will have a community of support to help them as they help you
Excellent coordination of care both in and out of the hospital.
A direct line for support if question or concerns arise after discharge from any
LifeBridge hospital which includes Carroll Hospital Center, Northwest Hospital and
Sinai Hospital.
Benefits of joining the Network for individuals
1. Complete the registration form and receive a card from your congregational liaison.
2. When you go to the hospital, show the card to your nurse. They will ask you for
your permission to call the trained contact person at your congregation to let them
know that you are in the hospital. You can discuss what you would like to share and
what you would like to keep private.
3. When the congregation knows that you are in the hospital, they can offer prayers
and other support to help you and your family during and after your hospital stay.
